Visit the town of Fowey
This charming town hugs the River Fowey and is virtually unspoilt, no amusement arcardes here, just ancient narrow streets and a heritage dating back to roman times. A few hundred years ago the Spanish, Portuguese and the French used to attempt to raid the town and were driven off by cannon fire from the forts at the entrance to this lovely harbour. You can even explore the river by motor boat.

Visit Charlestown
Home to square rigged sailing ships today, as well as the Charlestown Shipwreck Museum, a delight to explore.

Pentewan Valley
A short walk or cycle ride from Cestria Bed and Breakfast, this 6 mile long valley will take you all the way to Pentewan. The area has a lot to offer, not the least being its long sandy beach, which can have some good surfable waves. Pentewan was a small port at the turn of the century for local stone and china clay. The only signs left of the industry are the old quay and harbour, now home for ducks, swans and moorhens.
