Meet the Hosts

Cestria was purchased in the fifties by the Bennallack family and was run as a Bed and Breakfast from then on to supplement the family income. Born in the 'Boscarne' Room of Cestria, in effect Steve grew up with B&B as part of every day life.

Steve met Kay in 1975 and they have been together ever since and in 2008 celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary.Living in Penwithick for many years they raised a family of 2 daughters and now they have the addition of a handsome grandson and 3 wonderful granddaughters.

In 2001 the property was passed on to them, and has been extensively renovated to include 4 beautiful letting rooms.

Growing up in St Austell and attending the local schools Steve and Kay have quite an extensive knowledge of the local area as well as the changes that have occurred to St Austell and Cornwall in general. Being local people they understand the meaning of Cornish hospitality and are always there to help and guide you in enjoying your holiday.
